My bestie Sarah is coming to visit the city in a couple weekends and has her heart set on high tea at the Windsor Arms Hotel. Nothing sounds more perfect than a spring high tea lady-date… BUT WHAT SHALL I WEAR?! Naturally, this got me thinking about the ultimate tea-party appropriate spring wear.
But first – let’s assess the location. I’ve visited the Windsor Arms hotel once before when scouting a location for a product launch party. The rooms were all beautiful, the staff friendly, and the teatime snacks looked delicious. The hotel hosts 3 tea rooms in total; the Purple Room and Cream Room being the larger ones (and my favourites) are featured below.

Everything about these rooms is adorable and feminine, the way a tea party should be. I personally am a fan of the Purple ahead of the Cream Room. The Cream Room is traditional, bright and beautiful… and might I add has a hat rack stocked with beautiful tea party hats! The hats have a $5 rental fee with all proceeds going towards charity. Neat! The purple room, however, screams elegance. It is modern-chic, with deep purple velvet chairs, dark walls and modern light detailing. Being underneath the giant crystal chandelier alone makes you feel fancy.
Keeping the venue atmosphere and spring trends in mind, below I put together three high-tea worthy outfits. Pastel and floral themes seems ever-so appropriate for this venue, and on the right I added some leopard just to spice things up. All the shoes come from the Madewell spring/summer collection, and I love them for being stylish yet practical.
OK – feeling ready to take on my Spring tea lady-date!
